Our favorite brunch spot in Steamboat - always a bit of a wait but worth it. We recommend the Eggs Benny, Quesabirria Brekkie, Wafflelaughagus and a Bloody Mary on the side
Bracken won't allow a visit to Steamboat without a stop into Mountain Tap - amazing pizza and local brews. Right down the street from our Welcome Drinks venue.
Delicious tacos, guac, queso, and margs. Definitely get a reservation if you can (there's a cute rooftop!)

Our fav Italian spot, right below the Bristol Hotel.
Diane and Murray's fav Italian spot with a lovely outdoor patio
Indonesian and Thai cuisine - any of the curries and Lisa's Rolls with peanut sauce are to die for.
Not exactly recommending for the food (which is New Orleans fare), but more for the divey vibes.
One of our favorite summer activities in Steamboat.
Wear a bathing suit, water shoes with straps, sunscreen!
Go with a Pro
Unsure of how to use the river? Seek out a licensed operator for tubing. They will take care of everything from start to finish and you'll only have to worry about what channel to travel.
Switchback Sports (formerly One Stop Ski Shop)

Steamboat Farmers Market is located on Yampa Street between 5th and 8th streets and is held on Saturdays from 9 am to 2 pm.
Beautiful mountain and lake views. You can usually rent paddle boards or kayaks from an outfitter that sets up shop at Pearl Lake on the weekends - usually VERY busy on the weekends but very worth it. This is about a 40 minute drive from downtown Steamboat.
For the golf bros, this is the fancier course - 18 hole Championship Golf Course Gem
Bracken and Murray's fav - The Steamboat Golf Club is an affordable option to enjoy a round of golf in the valley with scenic views. 9 hole course.
Take in the scenery, enjoy the culinary delights, listen to live music, and toast to the sunset overlooking the Yampa Valley.
Usually Thursdays and Sundays, 5-8pm
Ikon pass holders can ride up for free!
$30 for non-pass holders.
1400 ft elevation gain, 3.6 miles, Out & Back. Short and steep but worth the views.
Go in the morning because if an afternoon storm rolls in, you don’t want to be on the top of this mountain!
Drive to trailhead is pretty bumpy, 4WD recommended. Rocky scramble towards top. Dog friendly
Closer to downtown Steamboat. Out & back, 4.7 miles, 1400 ft elevation gain Waterfall! Dog friendly
Our favorite hike, and the longest and hardest :)
Recommend starting before 9:30am
Loop trail, ~11 miles total, 2400 ft elevation gain
In Clark, Colorado (just outside of Steamboat)
Dogs allowed but must be leashed
I recommend doing the hike counterclockwise. Park at trailhead and start, you’ll hike a little ways until you get to the sign-in book/post - go right towards Gold Creek Lake Trail. This way will take you to Gold Lake first and then bring you up over the ridge to see Gilpin Lake from above. Hike down to Gilpin Lake to stop for lunch and take a dip in the lake! Then the rest of the hike is flat/downhill from there
Lots of stream crossings, depending on time of year pack water shoes just in case
LOTS of water and sunscreen!
