Q + A

How do we get to Steamboat!?

Much more detail is available on the Getting to Steamboat page, but to summarize - ideally you would fly into Hayden (HDN) airport and rent a car or book a shuttle into town, which is a 35 minute drive (Uber and Lyfts don't pick up in Hayden!) Or, you would fly into Denver (DEN) and rent a car or book a shuttle to Steamboat, about a 3-4 hour drive from Denver.

Will transportation be provided on wedding day?

Yes! We will have shuttles picking up from 2 locations in downtown Steamboat, and from the Glen Eden in Clark. The shuttles will return everyone to the same locations once the party ends, around 11 pm. More details to come!

Is there parking available at the ceremony/reception?

There will be limited parking available, so please take the shuttles if you can. You'll be able to leave your car overnight if needed, but remember, Ubers/Lyfts in town are VERY limited, so have a plan to catch a ride from someone the next day. If you'd prefer to drive, let us know so we can make sure we can accommodate your car!

But what will I wear!?

Wedding day suggested attire is "western chic" - otherwise known as cocktail attire, with a bit of western flair if you so choose. No need to bring a tux, but a suit or dinner jacket with/without a tie (maybe a bolo?) is perfect. Cocktail dresses (long or short), boots, cowboy hats, colors, patterns, whatever fits your fancy! You'll be walking on some grass and dirt so choose footwear appropriately ;) And bring a sweater or jacket - temps significantly drop in the mountains after sunset. The welcome party on Friday night is casual - jeans are cool, so is something dressier, whatever makes you comfortable.

Why Steamboat?

I (Callie) grew up visiting a dude ranch (The Home Ranch) in Steamboat every summer with my family, until my parents found the ranch to call their own (which we now call the Almost Home Ranch). 20 years later, Bracken and I both call it our happy place. We've made countless core memories with many of you at the ranch already, and we can't wait for the rest of you to spend some time here. We are so appreciative of our friends and family willing to travel to help us celebrate.!

Are kids invited?

You KNOW we love your babies, but to make things easier for all of us, we have decided not to have kids, other than family, at our wedding - you deserve a night out! If you're planning to bring your little ones along for the weekend, please feel free to bring them to the welcome party on Friday evening! Let us know if you'd like help finding a sitter for Saturday evening.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Of course! Please detail your request as part of your RSVP and we will do our best to accommodate you. Our dinner will be served family style, but our caterers will be able to serve anyone who needs a special plated meal with advance notice.
